Project Brief:
As MATCVS Scientific Meeting has been an annual event for the cardiothoracic fraternity in Malaysia for more than 20 years, it had to be postponed for almost 2 years, due to the current pandemic. Yet, as a society which is governing the cardiothoracic activities for its members, waiting and hoping the pandemic to be at zero level is not an option. The Council Members had decided to move forward and hold the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Scientific Meeting (ASM) in a virtual platform.
Challenges
This was the first time the client was hosting the event virtually. So they wanted a highly intuitive virtual events platform that was easy to use for all the participants.
Solutions
A custom landing/registration page was built for the client, which included a detailed tutorial of how to use the platform.
An aesthetically pleasing and completely customized welcome lobby was created for the client, with a navigation bar to help the attendees easily navigate through different spaces.
A tier based exhibition hall was available during the event based on the type of sponsors. The platinum sponsors had more brand visibility, followed by gold and silver sponsors. Additionally, a sponsor wall was present in the welcome lobby.
A highly-customized poster wall with search feature was available, which contained two type of poster presentations, namely:
E-posters (text based)
Free paper presentation (video based)
A personal briefcase was available for each attendee to not only save their favourite resources, but also to view all the notifications pushed by the organizers.
Two custom conference halls were created, Main Conference and Pre-congress. Both the conference halls offered exquisite features like sessions, live Q&As, etc.

The event received 5000 + registrations
1500+ connection requests sent during the event
More than 2000 resources downloaded and watched by the attendees through the course of the event
